The slaughter this past week was 636,000 up 18,000 head from the previous week. It is uncertain if more cattle will trade Friday. The sales so far this week developed in all regions at $177 live - one dollar lower than a week ago.
Sellers in the north were reluctant to part with many of the cattle offered for sale this week.
